Simba Investments is proud to partner with the Comox Valley Ukrainian Cultural Society and the Ukrainian Dance Troupe for the live performances from the Calgary-based Tryzub Junior Ukrainian Dance Troupe along with acclaimed singer, Ihor Bohdan. These performances will take place in Courtenay on Sept 21 at 7pm in the Sid Williams Theatre and on Sept. 23 at 7pm at the Tidemark Theatre in Campbell River. Tickets are $25.
All proceeds from these two performances will be used to assist new Ukrainian families in our area. There is a continued need for food and housing security, financial assistance, employment and educational support. Funds collected will also promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of these new residents in our communities.
The Comox Valley Ukrainian Cultural Society has received generous support from volunteers and host families that has enabled 65 households with 170 people to find new hopes, homes and opportunities in Courtenay and Campbell River.
It is our hope that this presentation of traditional Ukrainian dances, songs and culture will also raise awareness of the importance of the need for ongoing local support for Ukrainian families displaced by the continued conflict in Ukraine.
Our team at Simba Investments is behind this fundraiser 100%. We are helping to get the word out to sell out both shows! Come and watch the amazing performances and show that we support them. If you cannot attend either of the performances, you can contact the local society for more information and to possibly donate.:
